Andi is our Practice Manager. Before entering the veterinary field she owned her own horse breeding and training stable where she bred and raised Sporthorses use for dressage, jumping and cross country eventing. After deciding on a change Andi started working at a local veterinary clinic as an assistant. She quickly moved up to a technician then lead technician and has now worked her way all the way up to Practice Manager. Andi loves the veterinary field and feeling like she is working to help animals as well as their owners. Andi has a soft spot for the special needs pets and takes in pets that have health concerns and need a home where they will be loved and cared for. She currently has a very needy, allergy prone German Shorthair Pointer, Bo, another German Shorthair Pointer, Pearl, with cleft lip/palate, hydrocephalus and cerebellar hypoplasia, a 14 year old Lab/Boxer mix, Sophie, and a new Olde English Bulldogg pup with a cleft lip and a cat who thinks he is a dog, Alvin. Andi also enjoys hiking, kayaking and scuba diving as well as traveling as much as she possibly can.
My name is Isabel I’m originally from a beautiful rural town Twisp, Washington.I grew up horseback riding, bottle feeding and milking goats, helped raise pigs and collected chicken eggs I’ve always been passionate about animals. Fun fact: As a young child I would be seen crawling on the floor, panting and barking as if I were a dog… to say the least I LOVED them!
About 4 years ago I moved here to the Spokane area to further my education, and worked as a preschool teacher. After 2 years I began to pursue my dream of veterinary medicine, that’s when I found SVC and landed a job here as a receptionist. In my free time you may find me back in my hometown helping at my aunts coffee stand, on an adventure with my boyfriend and pup or in bed binge watching some show.
My name is Jen, and I’m a licensed veterinary technician. I grew up around the Vancouver/Portland metro area and recently moved to Spokane. Since I was little I knew that I always wanted to work with animals. 20 years ago I was given an opportunity with no experience to work as a receptionist and kennel technician at an emergency veterinary hospital. I have learned so much since then and continue to learn new things almost daily. After 10 years in the field I decided it was time to try and get my license, so I hit the books and was able to pass the national veterinary technician exam and accomplished just that.
My love for the animals and the work that we do is still, and always will be who I am and I can’t imagine a day that I would give up helping animals. I’m looking forward to my future with Spokane Veterinary Clinic. The passion that all my fellow coworkers have excites me and I can’t wait to see the growth in this small practice with such an amazing staff.
My name is Anna. I am a veterinary assistant. I was born and raised in North Central Washington and received my undergraduate degree from Washington State University in Animal Science. After graduating, I started working as a veterinary assistant and have aspirations to attend veterinary school. I love the experiences and knowledge I have gained while working in the field. My passion for helping animals has grown exponentially in the past 2 years. I am excited to continue growing at the Spokane Veterinary Clinic and have absolutely loved being a part of this amazing team of veterinary professionals!
My name is Kayla, I have been riding horses since I was 6 years old and working with them since I was 13 and I have an, almost 13 year old gelding. I come from a family of 12 children, biological, and have almost 21 nieces and nephews. I have a beautiful daughter of 3, almost 4, years old at home who is just as passionate about animals as I am.
My favorite dog breed is the Australian Cattle Dog, otherwise known as a Heeler, and originally known as the Halls Heelers. Back in the 1800s they were bred with the DIngo, a non domesticated canine, and that is how they got the qualities they have now and are most known for having high agility, intelligence, and endurance. The best dog I've ever had was a Blue Heeler.
My passion for coming into the veterinary world is from my love of working with animals. In this field I have learned just as much about animal psychology as I have about animal medicine. My favorite things about my job as a Vet Tech Assistant is running diagnostics, finding out what is wrong and solving the problem. I learn something new every day and I work with the best team.
